Which ordered pair is NOT a solution of the inequality, 3x - 2y ≥ 12? (-3, -10.5) (-1, -7) (0, -6) (2, -3) Please explain how you solved it, I'm confused on inequalities.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Plug in each x-coordinate and y-coordinate to the inequality. The ones that make true statements are solutions.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

For example, 3(0) - 2(-6)>=12.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

This inequality is true since 12>=12 is true.

ohh so the answer would be 3(-1) - 2(-7) = 11 therefore its answer B. Thanks so much

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

No worries :)
