Compare the function with the parent function without graphing.
\[y=\sqrt{x-3}\] A.Translated units to the left B. Translated 3 units to the right C. Translated 3 units up D. Translated 3 units down
hmmm what would be the parent function?
no clue i didn't mistype it
well... ok.... say ... do you know what a "parent function" is? have you done transformations yet?
the parent function is \[f(x)=\sqrt{x}\]. To get that function, a horizontal shift by 3 units to the left is applied.
okay so it is A and if i had the same exept +3 instead of -3 I would translate 3 units to the right
sorry, i meant that it is a horizontal translation of 3 units to the right. Not left.
if it was +3, it would be to the left.
oh okay that makes better sence because i just remembered it thanks
