Describe how you would estimate the square root of 100.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so, how would you do it then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by finding the square roots of 100 like 10 *10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Break up area into an x and y axis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10*10 = 100 so I would not need to estimate it! The answer is -10 or +10 is this correct ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10 x 10, is the same as saying 10^2. which is 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yess

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And yes -10 times -10 is also 100, so that is correct as well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks i figured it out
