a 10.0-kg animal is running at a rate of 3.0 m/s. what is the kinetic energy of the animal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kinetic energy is equal to, 1/2 M V^2 actually. Not mv^2. So the kinetic energy of this animal would be 5 kg x( 3.0 m/s^2) KE= 45 Joules
