7/8p-4=10
(7)/(8)*p-4=10 Multiply (7)/(8) by p to get (7p)/(8). (7p)/(8)-4=10 Since -4 does not contain the variable to solve for, move it to the right-hand side of the equation by adding 4 to both sides. (7p)/(8)=4+10 Add 10 to 4 to get 14. (7p)/(8)=14 Multiply each term in the equation by 8. (7p)/(8)*8=14*8 Simplify the left-hand side of the equation by canceling the common factors. 7p=14*8 Multiply 14 by 8 to get 112. 7p=112 Divide each term in the equation by 7. (7p)/(7)=(112)/(7) Simplify the left-hand side of the equation by canceling the common factors. p=(112)/(7) Simplify the right-hand side of the equation by simplifying each term. p=16
@thewonderfuladele I think you did that wrong...
which part?
Wait never mind sorry I was doing it backwards lool
oh lol
@Luigi0210 the answer is 16 lol
Yup, so start off by moving the 4 over: \[\LARGE \frac{7}{8}p-4+4=10+4\] Now multiply by the reciprocal: \[\LARGE\frac{8}{7}*\frac{7}{8}p=14*\frac{8}{7}\] and you will get what @thewonderfuladele got. I know @kenzieloo , just simplifying the steps down.
@Luigi0210 Lol I meant to tag @Kawaii-Kitty in that, not you sorry
...
