Can you find x and y?

3x + y = 19 ---> y = -3x + 19 now sub -3x + 19 in for y in the other equation x + 3y = 1 x + 3(-3x + 19) = 1 -- now distribute and solve for x. Once you find x, sub that into either of the equations and fund y. Once you have x and y, sub that into 2x + 2y and you will have your answer
