Which is the equation of the given line in point-slope form?

OpenStudy (agent47):

Point slope form is: (y-y1)=M(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (agent47):

you are given two points: (x, y) = (-4, -1), and (x1, y1) = (1/2, 3)

OpenStudy (agent47):

slope is rise over run, so difference bn ys divided by the difference bn xs: M = (y-y1)/(x-x1) M = (-1-3)/(-4-1/2)=-4/(-9/2)=-4*(-2/9)=8/9

OpenStudy (agent47):

Now that you know the slope just plug any of the points into the formula and simplify.

D.

OpenStudy (agent47):

no.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B.

OpenStudy (agent47):

Hint: y-(-1) = y+1

OpenStudy (agent47):

yea B

thx :D
