A good quality mirror reflects about 80% of the visible light incident on it. How will you find out, whether 20% of the photons have not been reflected at all or all the photons have been reflected but energy has been reduced by 20%?

@amoodarya No that's asked although the approach brings us to the answer that 20% of the light is not reflected and if the 20% is reduced then the wavelength of the light would be increased and colour of light would change....thanks for the right approach.
