b cause only 5 times 11 will equal 55
The answer is not b. The correct answer is E.

wrong that would equal -33 its b
x² - y² = (x - y)(x + y) = 11( x + y) = 55 therefore x + y = 5 x + y = 5 x - y = 11 subtracting: 2y = 16 y = 8
