I used FOIL but I got 36 - sqrt(11). I chose this answer because it was closest. Am I right?

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

Don't choose an answer because it's the CLOSEST

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

you FOILed it wrong

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

show us how you FOILed it

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

because you have the factorised form of difference of 2 squares you will only 2 terms \[(a - b)(a + b) = a^2 - b^2\] you just need to identify what values a and b have in your question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I do that? Is it 6 squared - sqrt11? \[6^{2} - \sqrt{11}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sqrt 11 squared, my bad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[36 - 11\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[25\]

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats correct... well done
