MEDALLS!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Given the following graph, what is the approximate value of the function at x = 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

About 0.75. To find \(f(x)\), the value of the function when you plug in \(x\), simply move to the x value they're asking about; in this case it is 1. Then find the height of the graph at that point by moving to the y axis which will tell you the value of the function. So in this case it's about 0.75.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

read across the horizontal axis to there you see 1 then go up to the curve, then go left to the vertical axis and make an estimate looks like something between 0.5 and 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay!! thanks you guys! what about this one... ? Given the following graph, what is the approximate value of the function at x = 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops wrong one!

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so do you need to solve this..?

OpenStudy (nikato):

|dw:1388548402412:dw|u wanna square both sides first to get rid of that radical sign
