1. Chloroplasts are where the light reactions of photosynthesis happens. The products of the light reactions go to the mitochondria to be used in the dark reactions (Calvin cycle). So the chloroplasts interact with the mitochondria.

2. Since leaves are the parts of plants that photosynthesize (because they have large areas to be exposed to sunlight), chloroplasts are more abundant on the leaves than anywhere else.
