1b 2c is right 3 B and D are wrong. zero factor property or zero factor principle. All the fact says is that if a product of two terms is zero then at least one of the terms had to be zero to start off with. you can see (x+5) in both the answers you want setting those to 0 will give -5 like this x+5=0 x=-5
