A man is making chicken noodle soup and has found it to be too salty. What method could he use to make the soup less salty?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. Bring the soup to a boil so that some of the broth evaporates. B. Wait for the soup to get cold and then reheat it. C. Add equal measured amounts of water to the soup. D. Stir the solution while it is being heated.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe it is A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wouldn't it be more salty?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dun think so @chandowd (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Donn't *

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya i guess it would because the salt amount would stay the same but the soup would decrease.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you evaporate the broth, more of the broth will leave but salt will remain, so the concentration of the salt will increase.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Still it would be more salty.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it would...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I think water help us ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its not B? Right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What about if you diluted the broth mixture?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Added water to it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yh now its easy for you ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, the concentration of water will increase in comparison with the salt so it won't taste as salty.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
