If a claimant has a genotype of Ww can they be a possible heir, Explain why or why not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As long as the W and the w alleles are present in the parents to be inherited by the offspring it would be possible for the offspring to be Ww. For example, a case in which it would NOT be possible is if both parents are WW or both are ww because in each case the offspring from these parents will only have the opportunity of being WW or ww. They inherited two alleles. Heirs can be identified only when they are homozygous with two copies of a single allele.
