Chris drove 380 miles using 14 gallons of gas. At this rate, how many gallons of gas would he need to drive 418 miles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what types of problems is this? do you have to put into an equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says I have to figure out how many gallons it takes to drive 418

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like what unit are u in mabye what grade because i wont know how to do it if your in a higher grade than me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ima take a swing at this but if i sound stupid i apologize lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i sound pretty bad bro dont worry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its definitely okay lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really wanna say divide 418 by 14 and youll get 29.8 gallons but im not 100%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its not like far off from the first number were given for the amount of gallons so its derfinitally possible :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

jpenrod I thought of that too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just didnt want to say and be wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It sounds right to me jpenrod :) so Ima try it and see if its right. Thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no its not right I got it! D:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok divide 380 by 14 and get 27.14 that's how many miles per gallons he gets. then divide the mpg by 418 and get how many gallons he uses to go 418 miles so your answer will be (15.4) he used 15.4 gallons(:!!!
