William Faulkner's novel The Sound and the Fury features a mentally challenged narrator, a suicide attempt, the promiscuity of two young women, divorce, and embezzlement. Based on these subjects, what is the most likely universal theme explored in The Sound and the Fury? salvation and redemption illusion and reality courage and cowardice death and decline
