This is completely irrelevant but who is happy/relieved to finally be done with last semester? (: Lol....I'm officially a High School Graduate!
Congratulations with that, however it would be sad just to stop at high school. Start on uni lad.
I am....I got accepted to Brown, MIT, & Baylor Med... I have a future and a lot of potential (not to toot my own horn lol), but I'm just working until August for the fall semester (:
I see. How come you take your degree over multiple universities?
And nice you got accepted a big congratulations with that!
What to you mean? I just got accepted to those universities I have yet to decide which one I will be attending...I have until the last week of February to decide.
thanks!
Oh I see, I thought you would take your degree over all universities. So to say you take some courses at MIT, some courses at Brown at and so on.
Yeah I understood lol, but no I'm just in the process of seeing which college will offer me a better scholarship, and provide me room and board...all three offer my degree of choice (Physics) and they have really goo programs I just have to think things out you know..
Understandable. They do god very good programs. Been looking at it my self when I was back in HS.
got*
Yup!
If you don't mind me asking, but where do you go for uni?
I'm at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
Wow, that's amazing. I wish I could to uni overseas...lol
I applied to Oxford in the UK....but my parents are quite hesitant in actually letting me go for a tour of the campus in a few months...
Oh I am born in Denmark and citizen so the most obvious choice for me, but thanks. Yeah it is fun to get a bit away, also see some other places.
Exactly...obviously I'm from the US but trying to get a break from everything back home... I would love to go to uni overseas, I mean a few of my family members live in the UK so it wouldn't be too bad... Thanks for the conversation, it's always nice to make new friends!
Medal for choosing physics.
As an undergraduate I highly suggest asking your professors to do research with them or let them show you around the lab. Try to become friends with your lab TAs and see what PHD students ACTUALLY do.
Thanks @agent0smith (: & thanks for the advice @Kainui I'll make sure to definitely do that
Brown and MIT do mid-year acceptances for High School students? Hmm...
She's waiting because if she were to join now, it would be mid-year. @abb0t
Aw congratulations (:
@Kainui "see what PHD students ACTUALLY do." Destroying the undergraduates experiments and excuse them self with the phrase "It is so long time ago I did that stuff *leaves*"
Sorry my avg experience with the Ph.D
Haha no that's exactly what I meant. The reality of how if you don't seriously enjoy it and do well in undergraduate, you're going to look like a fool who hates their life for about half a decade.
True, I do think they do know a lot, also are they very experienced and their degree most take a lot of their time. But the suggestion is good, hope the research is more accessible at US unis.
Thanks again to all of you... & @abb0t I said I was waiting until August for the fall semester so obviously I'm not starting mid-year...
