Find the missing values of the variables. The diagram is not drawn to scale

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sum of the measures of two exterior angles of a triangle is 264. What is the measure of the third exterior angle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many sides does a regular polygon have if each exterior angle measures 72?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you see the angle y?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the first question right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup in the attachment you provided.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, i see angle Y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can find it, cause in a supplement angle the sum should equal to 180 degrees so in this case you can set it up like this: y+116=180 and then solve for y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so Y=64?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now to find x is a bit difficult, you would have to find the sum of angles in four sided figure to do this you will need 180(n-2) where n stands for the number of sides. In this case we have a figure with 4 sides, so this figure has a total sum of 360 degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you equate: 64+x+72+125=360. Then you can solve for x. Hope I helped!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=99

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup! All the best mate!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could u help me with the other 2?
