The proportion would be 50/70 = 20/x x = 1,400 / 50 x = 28 feet

First you have to understand that the 2 triangles are similar. They're kind of devious on that, but if you notice the base angle on each triangle has a mark on it, meaning they're equal...and both triangles have a 90 degree angle...therefore they are similar by Angle-Angle.
