It affects politics because different areas have different views on them

Well...not just because of different views but the religions too. I agree that some areas have similar religions but yet have different political views, but, let's say Islam. All the areas with Islam might disagree with few points of political attributes Hinduism presents. By the Way, this is just an example. I am not being racist and all. I am Hindu, and I can tell political disagreements based on religion A LOT.
