What conic section is the equation below? 2x^2+15x+4y+9x=4x^2
notice, you only have an "x" squared, no a "y" squared", so that'd give tell you something
ellipses, or circles( which are just round ellipses), have a squared "x" and "y", both positive or negative hyperbolas, have a squared "x" and "y", either of them is negative so.. what's left?
well my guess was a parabola
yeap, when you have only either "x" or "y" ONLY squared, is a giveaway is a parabola
thanks!

Another question, how can you tell if it is horizontal or vertical?
when the "x" is squared, is vertical when the "y" is squared, is horizontal http://fooplot.com/#W3sidHlwZSI6MCwiZXEiOiJ4XjIiLCJjb2xvciI6IiMxMzJFRjUifSx7InR5cGUiOjAsImVxIjoic3FydCh4KSIsImNvbG9yIjoiI0VEMTMxMyJ9LHsidHlwZSI6MCwiZXEiOiItc3FydCh4KSIsImNvbG9yIjoiI0ZGMEYxNyJ9LHsidHlwZSI6MTAwMH1d
