I know the answer is \[24\sqrt{3} \] but i dont know how to solve.

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

height = 3 * sq root of 3 short side = 3 Area is 5 (which is 8 minus 3) * 3 * sqrt of 3

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Geez yeah - It is 8 * 3 * sqr root of 3 = 24 * sqr root of 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay how did you get that? i know how to get the triangles but not the rest. would the middle part (the square) be a 90-45-45 or whatever its called?
