Which correctly describes how the graph of the inequality 5x + 2y ≥ 13 is shaded? Above the solid line Below the solid line Above the dashed line Below the dashed line

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

ok. the first step to these is to note if the sign has an equal to part. greater than or equal to and less than or equal too both mean a solid line. that means that it can't be the dashed line choices right?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\[5x + 2y ≥ 13\]\[~~-5x~~~-5x\]\[2y ≥ -5x+13\]\[y ≥-\frac{5}{2}x+\frac{13}{2}\] It;s shaded above the line and including the y.
