1. 2x + 12 >= 6 -- subtract 12
2x >= 6 - 12
2x >= -6 -- divide by 2
x >= -3

2. 2(x - 4) < 6 -- divide by 2
x - 4 < 3 -- add 4
x < 3 + 4
x < 7

3. 20 + 11x >= 7(x + 12) -- distribute
20 + 11x >= 7x + 84 -- subtract 7x
20 + 11x - 7x >= 84 -- subtract 20
11x - 7x >= 84 - 20 -- combine like terms
4x >= 64 -- divide by 4
x >= 16

you pretty much solve them just like equations except for in an inequality, when dividing/multiplying by a negative, the sigh changes.
