help....Find the points on the graph of y=tanx, [0,2x], where the tangent is parallel to the line 4x-y=7 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the tangent being parallel to y=4x-7 means they have the same slope. So take the derivative and set it equal to the slope of the line, namely, 4. From there you can solve x and you have your solution. Though, the interval is [0,2 pi] not [0,2x] (which I assume is a typo).

okay i'll do that. yea it was a typo haha

Let me know if you need help

so i got x=pi/4 , 5pi/4...is that just it? cuz it asks for points. do i need to plug it back into the original equation?
