What kind of test would you use to solve this one ?

this does not yet look like a complete question does it?
It seems like they are doing the following:
\[\Large a_1 = \sqrt{6}, \ a_{n+1}=\sqrt{6 + a_n} \]
If you want to compute a limit, then check for monotonicity and bounds.
