I got two different answers... I did 9*9*9*-4*-4-2 and I got 11662
But then I did another way and somehow got 747... Which one is correct? If not explain..

729 +16 + 2

$$9 \times 9 \times 9 - [-(4)(4) - 2]$$ is what you should be doing, because you don't have $$(-4)^2$$ you have $$-4^2$$ which is the same as saying $$- (4)^2$$

$$729-14$$ is the simplified form of that and then you just subtract.

9^3 - (-4^2 -2)

729 - (-16 - 2)

729 - (- 18)

Subtracting a negative from a positive is easy. Change the negative (-18) to positive (18) and add that to the positive (729)
