Medal Awarded :) What does it mean when said that the Muslim world is not Monolith?
A monolith, in terms of what you are speaking of, is a political structure, regarded as indivisible and uniform, what do you think he meant?
It means a political structure right? But like i don't get what that means that the Muslim culture is not a Monolith
Well, look at the definition. The muslim culture isn't exactly uniform, now is it? I can't give you the answer, I can only help.
Uniform means that it has a constant flow, but throughout history, the Muslim culture has been shaped and changed.
Okay, so like people think that Muslims are all the same (a lot think that they are terrorist) but this culture is very different and is spread around the globe. Am I right? So that's what this concept means?
Close, but no dice. The Muslim culture has never stayed the same as a whole, everything changes. The Muslim culture has never been Uniform. It's never constant, and it is always changing. It's not about being different from other religions, it's about being different in the same religion. It never stays the same, concepts are always changing, their way of life has never been the same. Muhammad once talked about peace, but with the way the world is now, is it really a peaceful way of life?
Oh okay. I get exactly what this means now. Thank you for he;ping me understand this concept! Helped a lot
