Need help with Simple, Complex, Compound, Compund- Complex sentences.

A simple sentence is a sentence with a subject + verb + object/complement. "I like pie." A compound sentence is two simple sentences joined with a coordinating conjunction and comma. "I like pie, and I am eating a pie now." A complex sentence is a sentence with a subordinate clause. "As soon as I arrive home, I am going to eat pie." A compound complex is a combination of the last two. "I like pie, so as soon as I arrive home, I am going to eat pie."
