Reflective. As in, it is reflective and mood setting towards the quality of Scrooge. The setting of London is portrayed as dingy, cold, foggy, a rather "UnChristmas" atmosphere. It does well, also, in creating an aire of suspenseful quality for when we are introduced to Scrooge's ghosts.
