What mustafa has given you is an identity; you can find a formula for the derivative of cot x by finding the derivative of the quotient cos x / sin x and then simplifying.

This is pretty straightforward.

Most calculus students get enough practice finding the derivatives of the 6 trig functions so that knowing the derivative formulas comes down to memorizing them. This is just fine, unless your teacher insists that you prove the derivative formuls you're using!

Yes, that's a very nice find! Refer to it (or to a similar table or list of formulas) often. The more often you do this, the better are the chances that you'll remember the formulas.
You were asking about the derivative of the cotg(x) function.
Please find the derivative of that in the online reference table you've just found.

I know German well enough to survive just fine in a German-speaking country, but it takes a lot of thought and effort to express complicated thoughts in that language. I've studied Spanish and have been more or less exposed to it all my life, but I'm not fluent. Having known Spanish and having traveled in Brasil makes it possible for me to recognize some Portuguese. Wow, you and your sister must have fun conversing in different languages at will!

As I am deaf, I've also learned American Sign Language.

Well maybe, you think this stranger but I really think sign language is wonderfull .. I have one friend who her sister is deaf too.. and she teach to us in the school a little .. but not enough to talk.. You know... I really love the language's world ... I also love all the different culture
