How does changing the slope to a number other than 1 effect the graph

Slope is rise over run. Slope can be viewed as rise/1. If your slope is greater than 1, your rise will also be greater than 1. Therefore making the line steep. If your slope is a fraction, your line will not be as steep as 1. A fraction indicates there's more run than rise. Negative numbers will make your line go in the opposite direction, the negative direction.
