10. B is not true, it was Portugal, but Spain was not far behind. C. Is kind of vague, it depends what spice you're talking about, but in this context I would say it is false. Europeans had salt for this purpose, what they were really after was flavor. Funny how much the world changed because they wanted their food to taste better.
