There are seven numbers in a set of data.
The mean and median are 7.
The mode is 4 and occurs 3 times.
Find the numbers. Explain your method.

i believe the numbers are 4,4,4,7,8,10, & 12
4 occurs 3 times so three odfthe numbers are already there for you
7 is the median so it has to be one of the numbers
4+4+4+7=19
because the are 7 numbers and the mean is 7. 7x7=49
49-19=30
8,10, & 12 make up 30

To make the average also 7 we need another three numbers that will even out the 4s. 4 is 3 below 7 so we need 3 more numbers 3 above 7 to complete the set.
