The force of gravity on a 251-kg spacecraft on the Moon's surface is 408 N [downward] a) What is the gravitational field strength there? b) What is the acceleration of a free-falling object on the surface of the moon?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For a, I used F=ma and got 1.63 N/kg [downward] For b, the answer is 1.63 m/s^2 I was just wondering what they did to get the answer for b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The exact same calculation. \[1\text{ N} = 1 \text{ kg m s}^{-2}\]
