The correct answer is B) they were both monotheistic.

It is fairly well known that the ancient Israelites did not worship the singular god that their descendants would, and the 'Great Basin' region contained many different ethnic and cultural groups. Some of them may have been monotheistic, but most certainly were not. C is obviously out, and A as well. 

D is the answer you're looking for, I'd wager.
