Can someone explain what a function with two real rational solutions is? And can you show me how to solve one? PLEASE

HI :DDD

Let's say you're given a function, f(x) = x^2 + 6x + 9. To find solutions to this you must first factor it. I'll skip over how to factor because it's a conceptual question. So, when f(x) is factored, it produces the equation: (x+3)(x+3). After that, you simply "solve" for x for both of the factors, and then you have the "real" rational solutions to the problem. To verify they are real rational solutions, plugin what you have solved for x, and the output of f(x) should be 0.
