What is the difference between acrodont dentition and thecodont dentition?

Acrodont: teeth ankylosed to the jaw bone. There are no dental sockets or grooves. Examples: some lizards, Sphenodon. Thecodont: teeth in deep sockets, deeper than than height of tooth crowns.
