Alistar paid £1643 for a holiday in 2012. this was an increase of 6% on the cost of the same holiday in 2011. Calculate the cost of the holiday in 2011. Can someone please help

Increasing by 6% is the same as multiplying by 1.06 so \[ \text{2011 price} \times 1.06 = 1643\] I'll leave the last bit to you

Do i have to divide 1643 by 1.06 then?

Yes
