Does this equation y=1/4^x crosses the x-axis? Why? and How? Need explanations

OpenStudy (alekos):

I assume that this is y = (1/4)^x is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (ikram002p):

it dosnt crosses the x-axis coz its always positive function {f(x)>0} there is no interval [a,b] such that f(a) >0 , f(b) <0 other wise limit f(x) = 0 , when x goes to infinite |dw:1389096731170:dw|
