i don't understand the simplification of the following equation:

\[v = \pm \sqrt{\frac{ k }{ m }\left( A^{2} - x^{2} \right)}\] given \[v_{\max} = A \sqrt{\frac{ k }{ m }}\] how do we get this: \[v = v _{\max}\sqrt{1 - \frac{ x^{2} }{ A ^{2} }}\]
