Sine rule

i dont quite understand the rule i know you have to use it but im confused

|dw:1389155051360:dw| the angle bisector of the vertical angle of an isoceles triangle is perpendicular to the base and bisects it ( you can prove the two triangles formed to be congruent). sine rule can be a applied to a right angled traingle ..so in the second figure you have two right angles triangle in triangle ADB , sin A = perpendicular / hypotenuse perpendicular is 11 cm sin 16 = 0 .2756
