x/5=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that will be 20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this, x/2-2/3=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

$$\frac{x}{5}=4$$ $$4 \times 5 = 20$$ $$x = 20$$ $$\frac{20}{5} = 4 $$ $$20 \div 5 = 4$$ $$4 = 4$$ So the correct answer is: 20.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this, x/2-2/3=5 got finals????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

34/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

34 --- 3 i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you give the solutions and the checking?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@skylander

OpenStudy (anonymous):

$$\frac{x}{2}-\frac{2}{3}=5$$ GCD: $$\frac{3\times x}{6}+\frac{2 \times-2}{6}=5$$ $$\frac{3x}{6}-\frac{4}{6}=5$$ Simplify fraction addition: $$\frac{3x-4}{6}=5$$ $$3x−4=5\times6$$ $$3x−4=30$$ $$3x=30+4$$ $$3x=34$$ $$x=\frac{34}{3}$$

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You mean Wolfram|Alpha was right...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

$$\frac{34}{4} = 11.333$$ $$11.3333333333333$$ $$\frac{11.3}{2}-\frac{2}{3}=5$$ $$5 = 5$$ So I am correct.
