Because my dad said he is on unemployment benefits which allowed me to get a $5645 pell grant from the FAFSA but if that's gonna get denied then I won't get my grant. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he loses his unemployment benefits, then he will be making less money which means he will be more qualified to receive financial aid for you.

No. I'm receiving the automatic maximum pell grant because he's listed as on Unemployment and our household income is below $24,000. Otherwise, I'd get probably a $500 grant.

And if he loses his unemployment the household income will still be under $24,000. You are not getting a pell grant due to your father being on unemployment. You are receiving it due to the household income level.

@ehuman you are misinformed. You have to be BOTH on unemployment and be below $24,000. Please know what you are talking about.

I am NOT on unemployment and I have received my pell grant and BOG waver for the last 3 semesters.

I don't know what to tell you. Unemployment Insurance is NOT a condition of financial aid, financial status plays a big role though.

Why don't you ask your dad to sort it out? I am speaking from experience. I've been off work for 3 1/2 years without unemployment benefits. I qualified for financial aid through FAFSA including a Pell grant.
