How cardiac glycosides advancing heart attack treatments?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cardiac glycosides (eg digoxin) are used in patients with systolic dysfunction. They acts by inhibiting the Na-K ATPase pump. This will raised the intracellular sodium level, which will increase the activity of sodium-calcium exchanger. This means more calcium will move into the cell while sodium is moved out from the cell. The increased intracellular calcium level will help to improve the cardiac contractile function (eg increased shortening velocity). however, too much of digoxin will cause toxicity and lead to arrhythmia. i hope this helps. Please correct me if i am wrong.
