A pulse is created on a spring with a fixed end. What happens to the wave after it hits the fixed end?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A pulse as in, energy being used on the spring?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I think so, lol .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so what happens is, when the pulse hits the end, it will rise back up and then back down (depending on the amount of energy).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The energy will eventually come at a stop and the spring will stop moving :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a) it reflects, remains upright, and maintains the same velocity b) it reflects, inverts and maintains the same velocity c) it reflects, remail upright and changes velocity d) it reflects, inverts, and changes velocity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's either b or d.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me know which one it was :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it wasn't d :( it was b maybe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awee :( so sorry I couldn't have given you a straight answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
