All are examples of speed except ______ -5 miles per hour -6 miles per hour north -125 meters per second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not entirely sure, but maybe it's 6 miles per hour north.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two of them are an example of speed. One is an example of velocity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@broken_symmetry what is example can be related to velocity ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Speed is just a magnitude (an amount). Velocity is speed with a direction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so A and B would be considered an example of speed while 6 miles per hour north is velocity since it contains both speed:6 miles direction:north

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's right :)

thanks (:
