bane had crashed a party at an investors house to look for a witness to a crime he had committed. bane had also been hunting batman ever since he thwarted another one of his plots earlier. he said if the witness doesn't come out he would blow the whole place up. batman steps out and offers himself to save the many lives of the people at the party. bane then tortures him for months before he manages to break out of banes imprisonment. i think this is from 2003 if im correct
