Find the x-intercept and the y-intercept of the graph of the equation y=5x+12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x intercept is when y=0 and y intercept is when x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sosoosososo to find y intercept just cover up the 5x and y=12 yay and for the other one set y=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if y=12 then how do I find the x incept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=12 when x=0 for y intercept so yintercept is 0,12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay and then set y=0 for xintercept 0=5x+12 so subtract 12 -12=5x divide by 5 on both sides so -12/5 =x

Ok I see thanks!
